Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS)

Braidwoods are pleased to announce that they have recently become the first Firm in the south west of Scotland to join the group of independent Solicitors known as Solicitors for Older People Scotland (SOPS).    Since Braidwoods started in 1987 a significant part of the Practice work has involved helping older people and more vulnerable people with their legal affairs.      Expertise in advice to older people including the preparation of appropriate Wills, Powers of Attorney and sensitive administration of estates have made membership of SOPS a logical step.   Under the SOPS charter, Braidwoods will continue to offer user friendly advice whether in our offices or at your home and there is a commitment to charge reasonably and establish whether civil Legal Aid may be available to help you.    Additionally, information brochures are available and it is envisaged that seminars will take place from time to time giving interested parties an opportunity to get up to date with legal matters.

For further information on SOPS please contact our offices.
